What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Home Sales Agent position at FTS Inc?
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Division Manager, a Dream Home Consultant (DHC) is a key team member responsible for developing and converting prospects into customers. This role requires a professional individual who demonstrates excellent organizational skills, professional conduct, communication, and a strong work ethic. The DHC will manage the sales process, meet with clients, showcase model homes or sales facilities, and ultimately close the sale of new homes.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the Model Home and/or Design Center is open and staffed for prospective customers during scheduled hours. Arrive at least 10 minutes prior to opening and ensure the space remains open for at least 5 minutes after closing. No walk-in prospect or visitor will be turned away, regardless of the time.
- Regularly inspect the models/design center to ensure cleanliness, and that all furnishings, accessories, and equipment are in good condition. Report any issues to the Division Manager immediately.
- Promote and embody the principles of the Customer Experience, which includes providing “shocking levels of communication,” information, and exceeding expectations to create a “Wow” experience for clients.
- Study, learn, and apply sales methods and techniques. Participate in all training offered by the Division Manager and/or Training Manager, whether live, virtual, or online. Some training may require brief overnight stays away from home.
- Utilize various technologies and software, including CRM, sales software, and touchscreen demonstrations, to enhance the customer experience and streamline the sales process.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all customer and employee interactions, through verbal, written, non-verbal communication, and overall appearance. Serve as the customer’s “Trusted Expert” throughout the custom home process.
- Maintain and update the prospect list in the CRM, follow up with prospects using phone calls, emails, and videos, and ensure communication is clear and consistent.
- Register all guests and prospects in the CRM, ensuring accurate records of their visits. Follow up on all leads in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper documentation for contracts, addendums, selection sheets, and other necessary paperwork is produced and presented to prospects. Follow up for signatures and additional information as required.
- Participate in weekly Sales Huddles, periodic training sessions, and 1:1 meetings with the Division Manager. Attend Plan Review Meetings as required.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- SAFETY is a non-negotiable priority: The Consultant must take appropriate measures to ensure safety during product presentations, whether onsite or offsite.
- All Sales Consultants are subject to periodic video and audio mystery shopping for ongoing training and performance evaluation.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Reports to: Division Manager, Training Manager
- Works with: All internal and external customers
- Supervises: No direct reports, but may occasionally supervise other Dream Home Associates (DHAs) at the discretion of the Division Manager.
