What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Coordinator position at FTS Inc?
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations for a growing company. This full-time, in-office role is based in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will have payroll experience, demonstrate reliability, and contribute to the efficient and accurate processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with accurate and timely weekly payroll processing.
- Maintaining and updating payroll records, processing changes, and preparing and distributing paychecks.
- Managing employee files, generating certified payroll reports, creating monthly utilization reports, and preparing payroll tax filings.
- Addressing unemployment claims and handling employment verifications.
- Administering compliance with the New York State (NYS) Wage Theft Act and submitting new hire notifications to NYS.

Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience.
- Experience with union payroll, payroll tax preparation, multi-state payroll, in-house payroll, and construction payroll is a plus.
- Familiarity with CMiC software is beneficial.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams, is required.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
