Plant Controller

Overview
The Plant Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our client's manufacturing facility. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and regulatory reporting to ensure accurate financial management and compliance. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvements and will work closely with various departments to support the overall financial health of the plant.

Duties

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the plant's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Conduct general ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy in all financial statements.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reporting as required by local, state, and federal agencies.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation to maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, and equity.
• Oversee accounts payable processes to ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
• Conduct account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial transactions.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) regulations and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights on financial performance and operational efficiency.

Skills

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Business Related Degree required
• At least 7 years of progressive accounting, audit, or plant accounting experience required
• Supervisory experience is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including technical accounting concepts.
• Proficiency in general ledger reconciliation and financial analysis techniques.
• Experience with regulatory reporting requirements relevant to manufacturing operations.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with various departments.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
