Job Title: Process Technician
Location: Onsite – Wilmington, NC
Schedule: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM 5 days per week (Some overtime and shift coverage required, with periodic weekend coverage)
Training: Initial training on day shift, transitioning to evening and then night shift
Purpose of the Position:
This role provides first- and second-level troubleshooting of robots, conveyors, ASRS equipment, and related process issues. It involves hands-on work with manufacturing equipment and close coordination with technicians and planning teams to fulfill orders and manage inventory. The technician will use experience, judgment, and initiative to resolve problems and recommend improvements.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and controls equipment in the shipping department
- Manage and troubleshoot multiple issues simultaneously using sound technical judgment and prioritization based on operational needs
- Stay updated on process changes and new equipment through training with engineering and subject matter experts
- Execute tasks to fulfill internal and external production orders and consolidate inventory space
- Check trailers for safety compliance (e.g., chocks and stabilizers)
- Provide shift coverage for technician vacations as needed
Experience & Skills:
Required:
- Troubleshooting and repair of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment
- Familiarity with conveyor systems and PLC fundamentals
- Comfortable working through PLC logic for issue resolution
- Computer literacy (Windows, file management, Microsoft Office, SharePoint)
- Strong decision-making and prioritization abilities
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Emergency response composure
Desired:
- Knowledge of Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Peoplesoft, SAP)
- Basic understanding of PLCs and automation systems
- Forklift certification
Soft Skills:
- Self-directed and able to work independently
- Adherence to plant policies and procedures
- Completes assignments with minimal supervision

Pay: $19.31 - $20.79 per hour
