Job Summary:
We are partnered with a builder looking for an experienced Multi-Family Superintendent to lead a significant housing project in Ithaca, New York, scheduled to break ground in Spring 2025. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all construction activities, ensuring compliance with blueprints, specifications, and safety standards.
- Monitor project budgets by reviewing and approving contractor invoices and analyzing financial statements to identify resource needs and issues.
- Develop and manage the project timeline, prioritizing tasks and addressing delays caused by weather or changes in specifications.
- Supervise on-site operations, assessing contractor performance and completed work, and adjusting staffing as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Provide regular updates on construction progress to key stakeholders through routine reports and prompt responses to inquiries.
- Assist in building the construction team, selecting and managing contractors and subcontractors to ensure high performance aligned with company values.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience managing ground-up construction projects from inception to completion.
- Proven experience overseeing large student housing or multifamily construction projects.
- At least 3 years of experience in team and subcontractor management.
- Strong relationship-building skills to foster a positive job site culture.
- Excellent time management, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
- Highly organized with effective planning and scheduling skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in negotiation and delegation.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
