What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Customer Service Representative position at FTTDC - Ohio Logistics?
Position Summary:
The Logistics Customer Service Specialist communicates daily with customers to ensure all finished goods shipments are completed to meet third party customer specifications. Communicate with trucking companies to plan accordingly for shipments. Remove inventory from company and customer database in accordance with depletion procedures.
Schedule: 7p-7a 2-2-3 Rotating Cycle
Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicate with co-workers and direct Supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities
- Manage communication processes; answering multi-line phone system and ensuring timely response of customer emails
- Maintain a clean, work environment placing all items in an orderly manner
- Operate within the documented QMS (Quality Management System)
- Coordinate finished goods shipment to meet customer standards
- Enter order information directly into the system accurately and on a timely basis
- Notify/Communicate with customers with any issues with shipment or scheduling
- Follow all standard operating and rules of thumb procedures for shipments and depletions of customer inventory
- Consulting with clients about their shipping needs and making recommendations about how best to meet those needs
- Provide assistance and follow up on any Advance Shipping Notification (ASN)
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to create customer orders and fulfill customer requests
- Prepare a Bill of Lading for all shipping customers for the type, quantity, and destination of products transported out of the warehouse
- Utilize customer portals to provide comprehensive data on their shipping and operational information
- Create customer orders for the warehouse team
- Work with carriers to schedule appointments, communicate load status, etc.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or a GED.
- Previous experience in load planning, logistics, or transportation management.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools (e.g., TMS, WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
