Your areas of responsibility:
- Support compliance for international shipments, including import/export classification and valuation.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable import/export control laws and regulations.
- Support labeling design and requirements to ensure global trade compliance.
- Stay informed about global trade regulations and advise the organization as the Subject Matter Expert.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure trade compliance, minimize disruptions, and reduce costs.
- Establish, document, and maintain business processes and metrics for international logistics, focusing on importing, exporting, and shipping.
- Drive improvement projects and align with stakeholders to enhance processes.
- Create standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Provide training to warehouse staff and other team members on compliance-related duties.
- Ensure warehouse practices align with compliance requirements.
- Manage and respond to trade compliance inquiries.
- Provide clear, precise, and professional communication to internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform periodic assessments to ensure process compliance and audit readiness.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Science, Compliance) prefered.
- 3 years experience in trade compliance (import/export), preferably in chemical product supply chains or logistics.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., HAZMAT, Certified Export Specialist (CES), Export Compliance Professional (ECoP)) are a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of global trade regulations, including
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with Management Systems (e.g., QMS, EMS) is a plus.
