Fuchs Mizrachi School, a vibrant and growth-oriented Modern Orthodox Jewish day school in Beachwood, Ohio, is seeking a dynamic and passionate Full-Time STEM Teacher and/or Director for grades 6-12. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative educator to inspire students, develop STEM programming, and contribute to a collaborative and engaging learning environment aligned with our educational vision of Deeper Learning.
Responsibilities:
- Teach STEM courses (Science, Technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics) to students in grades 6-12, utilizing innovative and hands-on instructional methods.
- Develop and implement a rigorous and engaging curriculum that fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
- Integrate technology, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary approaches into the classroom.
- Collaborate with faculty to create cross-curricular connections and real-world applications for STEM learning.
- If serving as Director, oversee and enhance the STEM program, including curriculum development, extracurricular STEM initiatives, and community partnerships.
- Mentor students in STEM-related competitions, research projects, and experiential learning opportunities.
- Foster a growth mindset and enthusiasm for STEM among students of all backgrounds and abilities.
- Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Teaching experience in middle and/or high school STEM subjects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of best practices in STEM education, including inquiry-based learning, design thinking, and technology integration.
- Experience with project-based learning, coding, robotics, or makerspace activities
- Leadership experience in curriculum development, program management, or STEM initiatives (for Director role).
- Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love of learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented school environment.
