JOB SUMMARY: Install and repair industrial electrical systems, Mechanical Systems, Plumbing, and pneumatic systems,
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Adjust setpoints for efficient operation of production equipment.
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
- Fabricates repair parts by welding, cutting and using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Has basic plumbing experience
- Has basic knowledge of 480V 3 phase power, 120V single phase and low voltage control systems for trouble shooting
SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Strong mechanical background. Proficient electrical skills, experience with preventative maintenance programs. Welding and fabrication experience. Ability to work on weekends and overtime as needed. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Knowledge of lock out tag out and GMP’s preferred. Equipment Maintenance, Technical Understanding, Deals with Uncertainty, Basic Safety, Power Tools. Plumbing experience preferred. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with the maintenance team.
INTER-RELATIONS: Contact with outside vendors and consultants, all inter-company personnel.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud.
