MORE THAN JUST A JOB...Its a Family!
FUDPUCKER'S is filling our most important family member - our BAR BACKS. (HINT: Due to the extreme popularity of this job, please apply as soon as possible to ensure you'll get an opportunity). Restaurant experience is nice; however, BAR BACK experience is not necessary because we will teach you all the stuff you'll need to know. In fact, you'll have a lot of fun learning it (because, this IS Fudpucker's, after all). But, in addition to having fun, you'll actually learn stuff that we guarantee will remain with you for the rest of your life because our focus is on LIFE LESSONS, and you will leave here with a boat load of them.
A Bar back, or Bartender Assistant, is responsible for assisting Bartenders to ensure they have everything they need to serve customers efficiently.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must like people, especially little people (kids)
- Must be able to smile and laugh (a LOT)
- Must be willing to learn lots of stuff about Fudpucker's (and, then share it with visitors...)
- Must like being part of a team and being a good teammate (i.e. show up on time, help others, etc.)
- High School and College degrees are nice, but really not necessary...
- Must speak English (but knowing additional languages would be pretty cool)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
- Keep the bar stocked with liquor, beer, syrups, glasses, napkins and all other necessary items before and during service hours.
- Take out trash, refill ice wells, change beer kegs and restock napkins and straws.
- Coordinate with managers and security personnel to ensure efficient service to customers.
- Handle emergency situations, like cleaning up broken glasses and clearing up clogged drains.
- Keep the bar area neat and clean.
- Talk with people you've never met before in your life.
- Know a lot of stuff about Fudpucker's (and don't worry... we'll teach ya)
- Be safe and follow the rules, while still having fun
- Meet really interesting people who visit Fudpucker's from all over the world
- Tell people how to find bathrooms, alligators and stuff like that...
- Be willing to help others (visitors and other Fud employees)
- Have fun with people (I know... we said it before, but hey, that's what we do)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs, then up and down again over and over again throughout the day....carrying ice, glasses, bottles etc.. etc.. avoiding the swinging doors.
- Must be able to stay on your feet for at least four hours at a time (without passing out)
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and stand for a while without complaining...
- Must be able to carry up to 40#s of things
- Must walk a lot without tripping or slipping...
- Must be able to withstand loud noises (like when we have a packed house of people talking, laughing, and laughing some more, but louder).
- Must have fun with people (okay... you get the point)
