Ensures that superior customer service is provided to each guest and that their dinning expectations are exceeded.  Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates the workers and resources for efficient, well-prepared, and profitable service of food and beverages.  Directs assignment, training and motivation.  Assists with hiring and makes termination recommendations for assigned staff members.  
 
Maintains the highest quality standards regarding food production, sanitation, restaurant cleanliness and safety.  Insures effective coordination and communication between the front and back-of-the-house personnel.  Responds and resolves guest food and service issues.         
 
Assists all restaurant staff to insure maximum customer service and efficient operations.     
        

1. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1.    Must possess excellent customer service skills including pleasant and friendly demeanor.
2.    Excellent knowledge of restaurant operating procedures.
3.    Sufficient exposure, generally a minimum of 5 years, as a restaurant manager in a similar type of establishment.
4.    High school graduate or equivalent desired. Some college preferred.  Local regulations may require additional courses or certifications in such areas as sanitary food practices.  
5.    Must be able to communicate and understand the primary language of the work location and understand the primary language of the guests who typically visit the work location. 
6.    Ability to work flexible hours up to 50 hours per week; Monday through Sunday.
 

2. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:

1.    Exemplifies premier customer satisfaction:

a)  Interacts with all customers and staff in a friendly, energized, and extroverted manner and can turn a negative situation into a positive one.  

b)  Addresses all customer concerns and issues effectively and willingly.

c)  Maximizes table visits.

2.    Ensures quality of restaurant operations:

a)  Creates a positive and fun work environment while maintaining the strictest in quality and safety standards.

b)  Identifies issues and opportunities and provides direction on how to address them.

c)  Provides feedback on quality of products and services.

3.    Acts as a role model and resources for employees:

a)  Teaches, coaches, and trains staff.

b)  Assists others when needed to insure effective service levels. 

c)  Ensures compliance to all Fudpucker’s policies and procedures as per the Employee Policy Handbook.

4.    Supervisory Skills:

a)  Assists with hiring, trains, evaluates and makes termination recommendations for assigned staff members.

b)  Mentors staff by helping them set and achieve goals.  

c)  Conducts periodic performance appraisals to insure employees are comfortable and performing in their roles.

5.    Effectively communicates:

a)  Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing.

b)  Communicates in an open, honest, and timely manner.

c)  Delegates effectively and follows up in a timely manner.

6.     Ensures high training standards:

a)  Ensures all assigned staff members are trained to high standards in all applicable areas.

b)  Promotes knowledge of Fudpucker’s history, menu offerings, specials, promotions, entertainment schedules, and other matters about which guests may inquire.   

c)  Promotes communication by attending and conducting meetings.

7.    Other duties as assigned.

 

3. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

1.    Must be able to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours in length. 
2.    Must be able to stoop, bend, and stand for long periods of time.  
3.    Must have the ability to lift trays frequently weighing up to 30 pounds and carry them up and down stairs. 
4.    May be exposed to wet floors, noise and temperature extremes.  
5.    May be required to perform diverse physical tasks

Salary : $17 - $21
