Restaurant Host - Hostess

We are searching for a host/hostess with outstanding customer service skills—someone who is a real people person. You possess a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy working with others in a fast-paced team environment. You should enjoy welcoming guests to our establishment and guiding them to an appropriate table, ensuring that it is clear and clean. Make sure there are enough seats for everyone. You’ll need a friendly, courteous manner to answer phone calls and make accurate reservations for guests. $18 hourly

• Respond to questions about the menu and memorize the daily specials whenever needed
• Help clear and wipe down tables and set up tables with utensils and glassware for the next party
• Welcome all diners with a friendly attitude to create an excellent first impression
• Handle booking of reservations, be quick to solve seating problems, and troubleshoot any phone inquiries from customers
• Lead all guests to their seats, ensuring they all have a place to sit, proper glass and tableware, filled water glasses, and menus

• Skills needed for this role include excellent people skills, time management, organization skills, and the ability to handle customer requests and situations quickly with a pleasant demeanor
• Prior food services, or hospitality service industry experience is preferred but not required
• This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED and a good command of the English language
• Adapt easily to working in a fast-paced team environment with long hours of standing on feet and moving around
