Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule fuel deliveries to various locations
- Monitor delivery progress and address any issues that arise during transit
- Communicate effectively with drivers providing clear instructions and support
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide exceptional service
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize delivery routes and schedules
- Answer and respond to incoming calls/emails related to the fuel department in a timely, professional, and courteous manner
- Maintains working knowledge of Federal, State, and local rules and regulations, including, but not limited to, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation (FMCSR) and Department of Transportation (DOT) and Company policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Responsible for the completion of other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management
Educational /Other Requirements
- High School diploma, additional education or certification in logistics or a related field is a plus
Commercial driving or hazardous material dispatching experience is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in using dispatch software and other computer applications is a plus
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to research and resolve issue
