ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Engage with customers in a warm and friendly manner
- Promote dealership in an upbeat and professional manner
- Abide by dealership policies and dress code
- Maintain a positive working relationship with other employees/managers
- Utilize an effective sales process to create best customer experience
- Lead by example, be a professional to fellow staff members and customers
- Familiarize yourself with all vendors, reps, policies and have the knowledge to effectively handle daily operations
- Competent in displaying and merchandising the products we sell to maximize their appeal to our customers
- Maintain an appropriate and agreed upon profit margin as determined by dealer principal
- Ensure adequate number of salespeople are on duty during hours of operation
- Maintain accurate parts/accessory inventory as determined by dealer principal
- Work closely with dealer principal and sales manager in planning and implementing advertising and promotions
- Check with service manager on a daily basis to ensure repair orders are handled efficiently
- Stay current on industry trends and fashion and facilitate timely and aggressive purchasing of parts and accessory
- Follow-thru with vendors and customers, timely contact is essential for success
- Check with sales manager, delivery coordinator, floor managers on a daily basis to ensure major units with accessories are here for delivery on a timely basis
- Provide and/or arrange training, direction, and scheduling for all parts and accessory department staff for proper product knowledge.
- Update sales performance board daily. Coach and guide staff to achieve their goals as well as the team’s. Communicate sales leads and goals to staff.
- Keep track of low-price leaders in or industry – e.g., tires, winches, etc.
- Make sure all orders are placed as per scheduled same day placed same day shipping per manufacture
- Provide support throughout the day for sales on major units and proper turnover is occurring 100%.
- Provide support to the service department on all parts issues
- Apply all problem-solving skills on less than desirable customer service situations, be empathetic and listen to the customer and resolve the issue with a smile and care.
- Ensure all material items give to you are shared immediately to entire staff and they understand how any programs or special deals work.
- Implement traffic log/V Sept and work with it every day
- Perform the daily log and know and understand the numbers from your department.
- Ensure internet usage is for work only non-productive usage will not be tolerated
- Other duties as assigned
