Financial Data Modeler

Our finance team in Houston is actively seeking a talented Financial Data Modeler to join our dynamic organization.

We are looking for a candidate with a robust understanding of financial modeling and extensive experience with Tagetik software, data analysis, power query and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) enabling them to deliver impactful analyses that drive strategic decision-making.

The Financial Data Modeler will be responsible to collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine financial processes, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and enhance operational efficiency. The ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels is essential, as we strive to foster a culture of informed decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
• Lead the creation and optimization of Tagetik Planning and Consolidation solutions, aligning them with our business objectives.
• Develop and maintain financial models that support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning efforts.
• Conduct training sessions for team members and stakeholders, elevating their understanding and effective use of Tagetik tools.
• Collaborate with IT and finance teams to ensure the seamless integration of Tagetik with our existing systems and data sources.
• Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations aimed at boosting financial performance.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls and external regulations, ensuring accuracy and integrity in our financial reporting.
• Continuously assess industry trends and best practices in financial planning and consolidation to drive innovation and excellence.

Job Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a computer science field is required.
• Have 3 years of more of experience in financial modeling is ideal.
• Experience with Power Query and DAX for data extraction/transformation and modeling.
• Power BI, Cube, Excel experience.
• Experience with Deltek software is highly preferred.
• A strong understanding of Tagetik software is preferred.
• Experience with financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Experience in the development of templates and system analytics.
