Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Take Out Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. There will be two options for being a host here: take out & taking guests to tables. You will not be expected to do both jobs at the same time. Either decided amongst the hosts or decided by management at the start of the day, one person will be assigned take out and the other host. Your primary responsibilities as host will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service within the restaurant. Your primary responsibilities as a take out host will include greeting guests, managing 3rd party take out tablets, and ensuring orders go out to correct customers. Both positions may be required to answer the phone, greet guests, and answer any questions that they may have. A passion for hospitality and excellent customer service skills are essential to create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize guest flow.
• Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries and assisting with special requests.
• Utilize phone etiquette to handle incoming calls, including reservations and inquiries about the restaurant.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
• Handle POS systems efficiently for managing waitlists and reservations.
• Foster positive guest relations by ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
• Operating 3rd party take out tablets and orders.
• Checking out guests at POS system and entering orders.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable experiences for guests.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly HonorPOS, is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A friendly demeanor with a passion for helping others.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
