The Role
The Lab Technician will perform sampling of finished goods, ensure correct container, dispose of waste properly, operate forklifts safely and maintain certification, properly follow repour procedures, trained and involved in site JSA process and Risk Assessment process, in addition to other particle count / sampling duties and assist in other departments, as assigned.

Job Description
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Ensure the correct drums are used for chemical storage and transport.
- Verify lot numbers, ensure appropriate labels and stickers.
- Follow safety standards.
- Obtain forklift certification and perform material handling operations, as assigned.
- Operate forklift and other manufacturing tools and equipment.
- Collect lab samples without contamination or spills.
- Use sterile techniques, proper tools, and follow protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure sample integrity.
- Communicate equipment status and outages to supervision, as needed, for correct, safe operation.
- Follow proper disposal procedures, segregate waste types, and use designated disposal containers.
- Assist with operational, quality, and safety reviews, as assigned.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety requirements.
- Trained in site JSA and Risk Assessment programs and participates in laboratory JSAs and Risk Assessments.
- 40-hour Haz-Whooper trained
- Perform other duties, as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years’ experience in chemical handling; high purity chemical, pharmaceutical, or military experience preferred.
- Manufacturing Technician III level competency level or higher.
- Minimum 2 years’ fork truck experience on either sit down or standup fork trucks.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, bend, climb, and reach.
- Ability to be fitted for and wear a respirator.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Demonstrated abilities to work independently and as a team.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work varied shifts to include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekends.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Trained in equipment inspection process.
- Trained and participate in site JSA and Risk Assessment programs.
- Trained in customer complaint investigation and ability to conduct investigation on all containers.

Salary : $25 - $28
