Essential Job Functions:
Product Roadmap & Strategy
- Own the creation and maintenance of a 3 year product roadmap for all POCUS hardware, software and connected services features that supports business objectives, aligns with organizational capabilities and improves market position.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather customer insights to inform and enhance the confidence in the product roadmap and identify opportunities for growth that can be added to the roadmap pipeline
- Lead the creation of program charters that clearly state the value proposition, what the business objectives will be addressed, customer problems being solved, identifying the target markets (clinically and geographically) to support the creation of defensible business cases
- Co-lead an annual internal innovation summit with our Design and Engineering teams to identify solutions for our innovation pipeline
- Lead, coach and train a team of product managers
- Partner with program management to lead NPI and QVS programs with the objective of launching reliable products, that meet customer needs, and achieve business objectives in accordance with the published program schedule
- Collaborate with engineering, design, clinical engineering, regulatory, quality, service and manufacturing to clearly define scope, product requirements and user needs in a way that is clearly understood and measurable.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of products in the Sonosite portfolio, including new product development, sustaining programs, enhancements and the end-of-life process
- Advocate for the customer’s user needs throughout development with an emphasis on Reliability, Durability, Ease of Use, and Education.
- Support the downstream marketing and commercialization efforts by partnering with Sales Enablement and Sales Operations to ensure successful they have everything they need to successfully commercialize new products
- Responsible for maintaining relationships with KOLs, clinicians, biomed contacts, etc to gather continuous intel and feedback on products
- Represent the company at tradeshows, customer events and internal sales meetings as an expert on our products, positioning and messaging
- Coordinate an annual meeting of customers at HQ aimed at gathering feedback as well as gaining a true understanding of the problems we’re seeking to solve for
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field or a combination of education and work history.
- 10 years of experience with product management, marketing, sales or sales support preferred
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with Agile or other product development methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to understand the business needs of the customer and SonoSite respectively.
- Ability to translate customer needs into clear product requirements for R&D is a must.
- Ability to think about the application of diagnostic ultrasound in non-traditional ways is also a must.
- Leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring, conflict resolution, and team building skills.

- $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 depending on experience variable bonus opportunity (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range).
