Overview :
The Staff Accountant will support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systems. Candidates must be detail-oriented, have a strong ability to multi-task, have strong computer skills, and be able to work well in a team environment. This accountant is expected to provide administrative and clerical support by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, monitoring expenses, and keeping detailed system records for auditing purposes.
Responsibilities :
- Aid in the preparation of financial statements and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions, including journal entries.
- Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Take ownership of the AR, inventory and fixed asset accounting processes
- Document accounting procedures and recommend process improvements
- Assist in implementing internal controls
- Support year-end close process and external audit
- Respond to information requests and assist with financial audits
- Other ad hoc tasks as required by the Controller
