Summary
As a Host/Host at Fujiyama Steakhouse of Japan, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your role is essential in ensuring a warm welcome and efficient seating arrangements, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere that makes our restaurant unique.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow during busy periods.
- Provide information about menu items and restaurant specials to enhance the guest experience.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service for all guests.
- Support servers by assisting with table settings and clearing as needed.
- Promote a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality roles is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, particularly Aloha POS.
- A passion for providing excellent guest service and creating memorable experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
