Associate Attorney - Litigation
Position Summary : The Fulcher Hagler LLP law firm in Augusta, Georgia seeks an associate attorney for its civil litigation practice teams. Full-time professional legal experience is preferred but not required. This associate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of litigation-related matters in state and federal court, including but not limited to legal research, discovery, drafting, hearings, trial preparation, and alternative dispute resolution. Primary Expectations : The associate will work with the Firm’s partners and staff to provide high-quality legal services for a diverse portfolio of clients, including larger corporate clients. The associate will be expected to think independently and creatively to find valuable solutions for clients; to draft well-written, well-organized memoranda, a wide variety of legal documents, and correspondence for attorneys and clients; and to communicate effectively with clients and other attorneys. The associate will have opportunities to, and will be encouraged to, assist with business development and marketing for the Firm.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills :
- Barred in Georgia and / or South Carolina
- Recent graduate up to 5 years of law practice experience
- Strong academic record
- Prior professional, tax, business, or writing experience
- Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Ethical and responsible
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated
