POSITION SUMMARY:

Applies finishing and paint to speakers and components. Operates in a spray booth typically spraying wooden or FRP cabinets. Works as part of a team but has sufficient experience to work independently and provide oversight and guidance for other team members as necessary.

POSITION DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Prepares work by studying work instructions, drawings, and parts lists; gathers parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Review job requirements and ensure proper paint and tooling prior to spraying
• Clean parts as per specification Paint part according to specification and thickness
• Keep paint booth filters changed, booth FOD free and complete paperwork.
• Post paint inspection of parts for appearance and proper coverage.
• Able to paint effectively on different surfaces and metals
• Applies some advanced skills that allow employee to adapt and meet some complex or non-routine situations
• Observe safety regulations and wear protective masks and clothing during spray painting operations.
• Resolves problems by notifying supervisor.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshoots equipment malfunctions; asks for repairs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Checks stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Contributes to team effort by working cooperatively with others.
• Works independently with minimal guidance from Team Lead.

• The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Constantly - required to stand for long periods of time, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.
• Constantly - lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Frequently - lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Occasionally - lift and/or move more than 150 pounds with assistance.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with paint spraying preferred.
• Experienced with hand tools, electric tools and pneumatic tools preferred
• Able to work independently and provide oversight/guidance to others as needed.
• Good communication skills. Able to convey instructions to others.
