Travel requirement: ongoing; must be willing to travel extensively in the Southeastern US (east of Mississippi and generally Pennsylvania to Florida).

Fulcrum Construction is seeking an energetic self-motivated Traveling Construction Night Superintendent to join our team. Fulcrum Construction is a nationwide commercial general contractor specializing in the retail sector. Projects assigned can vary in size from $1M to $10M, and may include site work, ground up store/facility construction, tenant improvements and open store remodels. The Successful Candidate will manage the night-time operations of the project in the field. He/she must provide steady leadership and strong direction to field staff as well as maintain timely, essential communication with Superintendent, Project Managers and Owners to ensure the successful completion of onsite construction. The Night Superintendent, under the direction of the Superintendent, is responsible for onsite quality assurance, project safety and schedule implementation during night-time operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for, and will be held accountable for, the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes.
- Manage aspects of the on-site construction project from project start to punch-list completion.
- Manage on-site personnel to ensure project is completed in sequence, per the contract documents/local codes and within projected timeline in coordination and under the direction of the Superintendent.
- Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate same to Superintendent/project team for resolution.
- Manage/lead daily subcontractor meetings for night-time assignments.
- Be an integral part in issuance of Owner Change Orders.
- Initiate RFIs – as applicable to field conditions.
- Work with Superintendent to develop a project site logistics plan and lead site orientation meetings with all workers to review.
- Review and understand materials budgets.
- Document and ensure quality control and safety standards.
- Track material deliveries and change orders.
- Implement job specific safety programs and procedures.
- Participate in jobsite meetings/visits with owners, subcontractors, and Fulcrum team members.
- Onsite leader of safety programs – including providing weekly toolbox talks.
- Document all job site activity via daily reports as it pertains to night schedule.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 7 years or more of experience in commercial construction field, at least 2-5 of those years serving as the project superintendent or assistant superintendent in charge of running jobs the size and scope of Fulcrum's projects.
- Proven/previous experience on retail renovation projects.
- Proficient in plan reading, construction design and overall building regulations/laws.
- Ability to read, comprehend and process construction documents (plans, specifications, soil reports, safety manuals, etc.)
- Proficient with typical construction software applications.
- Strong understanding of building processes and best practices.
- Familiar with estimating and scheduling practices.
- OSHA-30 certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification.
