About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Maintenance Technician II to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment across plant and/or pump stations to ensure seamless operations and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using meters, gauges, and programmable logic controls.
- Estimate time and materials for projects and perform repairs using power and hand tools.
- Conduct preventative and routine maintenance on equipment such as pumps, valves, blowers, mixers, conveyors, dryers, and more.
- Perform manual labor tasks, clean and maintain equipment and facilities, and ensure proper waste disposal.
- Fabricate and weld assemblies as needed, and complete instrument calibration on portable meters.
- Support general facility repairs including doors, windows, tiles, locks, etc.
- Operate vehicles and assist with parts inventory, orientation, and training of new staff.
What You’ll Need:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in a similar operational/industrial maintenance environment.
- Ability to comprehend complex blueprints, specifications, and manuals.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with vocational training preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment efficiently.
- Familiar with PPE protocols and use of shop tools like drill presses, grinders, and torque wrenches.
- Excellent teamwork, time estimation, and communication skills.
- Able to read and interpret gauges, meters, panels, and computer systems.
Certifications & Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license (commercial preferred) and clean driving record.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- HAZWOPER Level I & II First Responder certification preferred.
- Willingness to obtain relevant trade licenses (HVAC, Electrician, Plumbing, etc.).
- Forklift certification and training on energy management systems, as needed.
- Willing to be on a 24-hour emergency on-call rotation.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Must be comfortable standing/walking up to 75% of the time, lifting up to 50 lbs (occasionally 60 lbs), and working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Will work in outdoor and indoor environments, sometimes in extreme weather conditions.
- Exposure to noise, chemicals, fumes, rotating equipment, and electrical/hydraulic hazards.
