About the Role:
Veolia is seeking a reliable and dedicated VW-Operator I to join our Operations team. This critical role involves the operation and maintenance of sludge dewatering, treatment, processing, disposal, and testing equipment in an industrial or refinery setting to ensure water purification meets customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain pumps, centrifuges, engines, blowers, valves, mixers, conveyors, dryers, chemical feed systems, and other process control equipment.
- Monitor and test processes to ensure water treatment goals and quality standards are met.
- Learn and independently operate machinery, consistently meeting performance targets.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment and take on new responsibilities as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a similar industrial or environmental operations role is preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend operational, safety, and quality instructions in English.
- Comfortable performing basic math calculations.
- Demonstrated ability to use computer programs for process control.
- Willingness to participate in a 24-hour emergency on-call rotation (if required).
Certifications & Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
