Fulcrum Global Capital (FGC) is an early-stage venture capital fund investing in companies and entrepreneurs disrupting the global food production industry through the agriculture, animal health, and supply chain & logistics industries. Investment Analyst Role Description
Fulcrum is hiring an Investment Analyst to become a key member of the investment team and this position will need to “wear a lot of hats” while supporting all aspects of Fulcrum’s investment operations. This will, at various times, include conducting industry analysis, sourcing investment opportunities, assisting with investment due diligence & financial modeling, providing portfolio company support, and helping to develop marketing strategies & LP engagement structures and processes.

Responsibilities
Being a small firm, each member of FGC’s team is expected to contribute as needed and the same will be expected for the Investment Analyst role. This provides an unrivaled opportunity for an ambitious professional to gain a tremendous level of impactful experience quickly and to maximize their skillset. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Reviewing business plans and pitch decks
- Performing company and market research
- Preparing written materials, including investment memoranda
- Researching and reporting on industry trends and analysis
- Sourcing investment opportunities and developing key industry relationships
- Conducting investment due diligence in collaboration with the rest of FGC’s investment team
- Performing financial modeling and analysis
- Recording all deal information for reporting and trend analysis
- Assisting in portfolio company management
- Helping manage Limited Partner engagement
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, and/or private equity preferred
- Data analytics, financial modeling, and/or valuation experience
- Strong market research skills
- Life sciences, agricultural/animal sciences, engineering, and/or finance educational background preferred
- BA/BS or master’s degree
