We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Urgent care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, providing appropriate management plans.
- Perform clinical procedures such as catheterization, IV infusion, and catheter care as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver integrated care, including utilization review for effective treatment planning.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management strategies.
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Participate in memory care initiatives for patients with cognitive impairments.
- Provide urgent care services as required, ensuring timely interventions for acute health issues.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards within the medical office or hospital setting.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from an accredited body.
- Valid state nursing license to practice as an FNP.
- Experience in outpatient settings preferred; experience in urgent care or hospital environments is a plus.
- Proficient in performing vital signs assessments and managing catheter care.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
