What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hardware Test Engineer position at Fulfill Team Inc.?
Hardware Test Engineers (Senior, and Junior, and Entry Level) needed for Contract to PERMANENT Full-Time positions with a medical device imaging hardware / software company located in Raleigh, NC.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES for Senior or Midlevel:
- Electronic hardware testing
- Writing test plans, creating test cases, executing tests, documenting/reporting
- Low-Voltage Systems
- Analog or Digital circuit design or testing, circuit simulator operation, PCB board design.
- Hardware interface knowledge for example SPI, or LVDS, or DDR
- FPGA, or LSI, or ASIC design or testing
- EMC (EMI/EMS) Analysis and Countermeasure
- Hardware testing validation for electronics including functional, safety, and reliability testing.
- Draw basic schematics using Altium or AutoCAD or similar tool.
- Prefer regulated industry such as medical devices, aerospace, or automotive or knowledge of FDA, or ISO 13485, or IEC 60601 but not required.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES for Junior or Entry Level:
- Must be a recent college graduate with Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering or similar.
- Must have some college or otherwise experience writing Embedded Software code.
- Company willing to train Junior and Entry Level Engineer.
The Hardware Test Engineers work collaboratively in the fast-paced development environment to:
- Perform electrical hardware testing on medical device products.
- Write test plans, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.
- Testing and design of Low-Voltage Electronic Systems including Analog and Digital circuits, circuit simulator operations, and PCB boards.
- Test hardware interfaces such as SPI, LVDS, DDR etc.
- Test and design circuits such as FPGA, LSI, and ASIC.
- Perform EMC (EMI/EMS) Analysis and Countermeasure.
- Testing and validate electronic medical devices, including functional, safety, and reliability testing.
- Learn FDA standards including ISO 13485 and IEC 60601.
- Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, signal generators, and other electronic testing tools.
- Perform design verification testing and validation testing.
- Will utilize data acquisition software, hardware testing tools, and programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB) for automation.
- Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues.
- Perform Technical Writing to document test protocols, results, and reports with precision in documenting and executing tests.
- Analyze and interpret test results and identify potential issues.
- Troubleshoot to identify hardware and software interactions that may affect device performance.
- Interface with cross-functional teams including engineers, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance and performance standards.
- Interface with and help technical support and service teams to troubleshoot issues escalated to engineering.
- Work to meet deadlines and adjust to shifting priorities.
