Fulfill is looking for a dynamic, goal-driven individual is needed to enthusiastically engage various stakeholders – community members, local businesses, associations, public officials, and community organizations – to increase awareness and support of Fulfill’s mission through volunteerism, food and fund drives, collaboration, and other community engagement opportunities. Reporting to the VP of Development and External Relations, the successful candidate for this position will help identify and cultivate new relationships in order to foster a volunteer corps that aligns with Fulfill’s strategic needs, and uphold a culture of philanthropy that values donations of time, treasure, and talent . The Community Engagement Specialist works collaboratively across the organization, as well as with Fulfill’s network of agency partners, to enhance Fulfill’s service delivery and financial health.
In this role, you will manage the Volunteer program, including developing and implementing a volunteer recruitment plan that identifies needs for Fulfill and partner agencies, strengthens a pipeline of volunteers with diverse skill sets, and offers relevant engagement opportunities for corporate and philanthropic partners as well as leveraging volunteer opportunities to uncover potential donor opportunities and developing and maintaining reward, recognition, leadership development , and incentive programs for volunteers. In addition, you will manage the 3rd Party Fundraising and Food Drive program to include developing, maintaining, and cultivating relationships with businesses, organizations, associations, schools, public officials, and individuals conducting food and fund drives, coordination of logistics planning in conjunction with the Operations team, leveraging national 3rd-party fundraising campaigns to encourage local participation and giving and working in collaboration with the Network Engagement Team and Operations, coordinates all aspects of food drives and off-site volunteer packing projects.
You will engage and cultivate corporate groups that volunteer and/or run food drives to identify additional donor opportunities in collaboration with Development colleagues to create strategies for further engagement; build strong relationships with community organizations, associations, and other key stakeholder constituencies, identify and participate in community forums for increasing awareness of Fulfill’s programs and needs and network and represent Fulfill and the interests of those we serve at community events and other forums where key stakeholders and partners are present.
Qualified candidates will be a skilled communicator with strong public speaking, presentation and writing skills, along with strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills. Must have a demonstrated ability to work across departments and with diverse stakeholder groups. Experience in volunteer recruitment and management a plus along with fluency in Spanish and the ability to translate written work to Spanish (also a plus.) Flexible work schedule to involve some nights and weekends including a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Golden volunteer software and Microsoft Publisher and Canva a plus.
Salary: $57,500 – $67,500
