We are expanding and opening a brand-new 50,000 sq. ft. third-party logistics (3PL) facility on Clements Ferry in Charleston, SC! As we gear up for this exciting launch, we’re looking for a dynamic 3PL Warehouse Operations Lead to help build and lead our team from the ground up.
This role is an opportunity to be a key player in shaping the success of a brand-new facility—overseeing warehouse operations, managing product movement, and ensuring efficient inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping. You’ll play a pivotal role in establishing best practices, optimizing productivity, and maintaining the highest quality standards.
While our Production Supervisors will handle day-to-day production tasks, this role is focused on operational excellence, strategic planning, and compliance with safety and quality regulations. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-moving environment and is ready to take on the challenge of launching and optimizing a cutting-edge logistics operation.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Warehouse Management & Operations Oversight
Oversee all warehouse functions, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
Ensure seamless coordination between warehouse teams, production supervisors, and management.
Implement and enforce warehouse policies and procedures to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
Monitor warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
2. Team Leadership & Supervision
Lead and support a team of warehouse staff, including inventory specialists, forklift operators, and production supervisors.
Provide guidance and direction to ensure high levels of performance, accountability, and engagement.
Conduct regular team meetings to align on daily and weekly objectives.
Assist in workforce planning, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
3. Quality Control & Compliance
Ensure all warehouse processes adhere to company standards and industry regulations.
Monitor quality control measures to guarantee accurate picking, packing, and shipping of products.
Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, workplace safety protocols, and company policies.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels and reduce errors.
4. Inventory Management & Accuracy
Work closely with inventory control teams to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent discrepancies.
Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are accurately recorded and tracked.
Collaborate with production supervisors to align inventory levels with production schedules.
Implement inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track and analyze key warehouse performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, fulfillment rates, and turnaround times.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks to enhance warehouse efficiency.
Provide regular operational reports to senior management with insights and recommendations.
6. Communication & Coordination
Serve as the primary liaison between warehouse teams, production supervisors, and upper management.
Ensure smooth coordination between departments for inbound shipments, production schedules, and outbound logistics.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and third-party logistics partners.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 5 years in warehouse or logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in 3PL, distribution, fulfillment, or supply chain management.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate warehouse teams.
Organizational Abilities: Strong skills in planning, prioritization, and problem-solving.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and quality assurance in warehouse operations.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in a warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automation and process improvement in warehouse settings.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational efficiency methodologies.
Forklift certification or experience managing a forklift fleet.
