We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dental and surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow in the operating room. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting, medical terminology, and infection control practices. The Surgical Assistant will work closely with the surgical team to provide high-quality patient care and maintain a safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist or surgeon during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to patient care.
- Manage patient flow and ensure that patients are comfortable before, during, and after procedures.
- Operate medical imaging equipment as needed for diagnostic purposes.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations within the surgical environment.
- Manage patient cases by contacting dental laboratories to ensure efficiency.
- Utilize Curve Hero systems for scheduling, patient management, and record keeping.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with Curve Hero software is a plus.
- Knowledge of general dentistry practices, medical terminology, and infection control measures is preferred
- Proficiency in handling medical records and maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to perform X-Ray imaging as required by the practice is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
