If you're ready to make an impact in affordable housing and join a dedicated, mission-driven team, Full Circle Communities, Inc. is seeking a Community Manager like you to ensure the efficient operations, management and performance of two of our affordable housing communities in Lansing, IL. As a Community Manager , you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our affordable housing community remains well-managed, financially stable, and welcoming for residents. This position is part of our regional management team , with potential for you to rotate between our other properties in the region, working closely with on-site staff, residents, and leadership to maintain high standards and a strong sense of community.
You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, including leasing, compliance, maintenance, and financial performance. You’ll collect rent, approve invoices, manage budgets, and ensure that properties meet the requirements of various affordable housing programs, including Section 42, HUD, and other financing sources. Strong financial oversight is key, from tracking expenses to recommending rent adjustments when necessary. Marketing the property, conducting tours, and fostering strong relationships with residents will be essential in generating new leases and ensuring long-term resident satisfaction.
This is a leadership role, where you’ll supervise and motivate a team of property personnel and maintenance staff. You’ll create a positive work environment where team members feel valued and are empowered to perform at their best. Your organizational skills and customer service expertise will help create a welcoming and engaging community for current and future residents.
To thrive in this fast-paced, multifaceted role you’ll need at least one year of experience in property management , preferably with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) properties. Proficiency in Word and Excel as well as experience with property management software like Yardi, and budgeting is essential. Tax Credit Certification is required, or you’ll need to obtain one within 120 days of hire (we can help with that!).
This position may require traveling between properties so a valid driver’s license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle are required. A Bachelor’s degree, two or more years of leadership experience, or an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) certification are a definite plus .
The Company offers a competitive salary range of $50k - $60K, plus an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, Simple IRA, PTO, paid parental leave, accident and critical illness, short- and long-term disability, and more.
