Job Summary
The US Business Development Manager will lead and optimize a team of business development (BD) associates responsible for driving product placement into facilities within their designated geography. This role demands a scrappy and confident leader with a track record of optimizing diverse teams and fostering growth. The Business Development Manager will report directly to the SVP, Sales and play a pivotal role in achieving the company’s aggressive growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Optimization
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of business development associates.
- Implement structured sales training programs to upskill team members and enhance performance.
- Set clear goals, KPIs, and expectations for the BD team, ensuring accountability and alignment with revenue targets.
- Foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture within the team.
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan tailored to the assigned geography to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and create tactical plans to increase product volume in local facilities.
- Work with the CRO to align sales strategies with broader commercial goals.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Utilize CRM tools and data analytics to monitor sales performance, identify trends, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Provide regular reporting to the CRO on team performance, sales pipeline, and market conditions.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Partner with marketing, operations, and other teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns and promotional materials that support sales efforts.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in sales leadership roles, preferably managing junior-level teams in a B2B or industrial environment.
- Proven success in driving revenue growth and managing diverse teams across geographies.
- Experience in electronics recycling, ITAD, or related industries is a strong plus.
