Job Overview
The Account Recovery Specialist is responsible for managing collections on past-due accounts while maintaining a customer-focused approach. This role involves negotiating payment arrangements, handling inbound and outbound calls, and ensuring a positive experience for customers. Unlike traditional collections, this position does not involve credit reporting but emphasizes maintaining strong relationships with customers and meeting monthly performance targets, including commissions ranging from $100 to $500.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The following overview highlights key responsibilities but is not an exhaustive list. Additional tasks and duties may be assigned as needed to meet organizational requirements.
- Initiate and manage outbound and inbound communications with customers to resolve past-due balances.
- Negotiate and work with customers to create manageable payment plans that align with expectations and customer circumstances.
- Accurately document all communications, payment agreements, and relevant account details into the system of record.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing and resolving any questions or disputes related to their accounts.
- Adhere to company guidelines and client-specific expectations, ensuring all communications are professional and in compliance with policies.
- Strive to achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly performance and commission-based targets.
- Share insights and best practices to support the client Partnership Collections Team’s success.
- Stay informed about any updates to Client processes, company policies, and industry trends.
Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 years of experience in collections, customer service, account management, or a related role.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail; proficiency in relevant software and systems.
- Familiarity with collections regulations, including the FDCPA and TCPA, is highly desirable.
