Job Summary:
The Strategic Planning Lead will be responsible for driving the execution of the organizations' North America strategy, aligning regional action with global strategic priorities. This is a highly visible individual contributor role focused on hands-on project execution, GTM strategy development, and partnership building across startups, universities, and internal
stakeholders. You’ll be embedded in a globally connected team—with counterparts in Europe and APAC—and will help build capabilities, implement strategic plans, and execute priority initiatives that impact the future of energy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own and execute key strategic initiatives in North America, working closely with counterparts in Europe and APAC.
• Lead or support GTM strategies, from idea to implementation, for complex new product introductions (NPIs) and offerings.
• Build and manage project schedules, financial plans, and cross-functional execution strategies. Identify and nurture partnerships with startups, universities, and innovation hubs that align with our business goals.
• Translate high-level global strategy into actionable regional plans that reflect market dynamics in the U.S. and Canada.
• Serve as a critical thought partner in shaping our organizations' value proposition across target verticals.
• Provide detailed analysis on markets, competitors, and emerging technologies to inform investment decisions.
• Collaborate cross-regionally and cross-functionally to ensure alignment,
knowledge sharing, and seamless execution.
• Support internal capability building in the U.S., particularly in offering management and open innovation.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or Materials Science required; MBA preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in strategy execution, GTM, or B2B project management; experience in consulting, corporate strategy, or technical sales strongly valued.
• Direct experience with clean tech, chemical, or energy industries is a plus.
• Proven ability to prioritize competing initiatives with clear business logic and a sharp understanding of revenue generation.
• Demonstrated success managing regional execution of global initiatives, with a preference for candidates with exposure to Europe or APAC collaboration.
• Strong communicator with excellent presentation and stakeholder alignment skills.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally and across time zones; must be fluent in English and culturally competent in U.S. business practices.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on executor with high business acumen.
• Open innovation experience or partnerships with startups and research institutions is highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel a minimum of 30% across the U.S., Canada, China, and Europe.
