Position Summary
The Supply Chain Assistant provides support functions to the Supply Chain team. The Supply Chain Assistant is responsible for managing expected delivery dates (ETA’s) for all open lines on purchase orders, reviewing order confirmations for accuracy, requesting updates of delivery dates (ETA’s) from vendors, and other support tasks for the Buyers as needed.
Essential Job Functions
- Review and maintain expected delivery dates (ETA’s) on open PO report.
- Notify Buyers of any PO’s that require additional or further action.
- Monitor EDI Inbox for confirmation of PO’s that may require further action.
- Request expected delivery dates from vendors as requested from Sales.
- Review incoming order confirmations for pricing/qty/shipping information for accuracy.
- ETA / Data entry for order confirmations and shipment notifications.
- Communicate changes as needed to vendors regarding existing orders.
- Assist Buyers with tasks as needed.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience in a customer service position preferred.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Work Environment
Work is performed in an office environment with minimal, if any, travel outside of the office. The employee may be required to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is required sit for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; reach above shoulders; and use standard office equipment, including a computer, telephone, copier, printer, and virtual collaboration software.
