Position: Director of Physical Therapy
Location: Purcellville, VA (Overseeing Northern Virginia house calls, Smith Mountain Lake, and future locations)
Salary: $51-$58/hour (equivalent to $106,080 - $120,640/year based on a 40-hour workweek)
Sign-on Bonus: $2,000 (paid over 6 months)

About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Physical Therapy to lead and oversee all PT services across multiple locations, including our Purcellville clinic, Northern Virginia house calls, and Smith Mountain Lake (SML), with a focus on expanding to future locations.
This role ensures clinical excellence, compliance, and quality assurance while providing mentorship to therapists and contributing to the growth of the practice. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, clinician, and strategist who is passionate about professional development, compliance, and high-quality client care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Compliance
• Oversee all physical therapists across Purcellville, Northern Virginia house calls, and Smith Mountain Lake locations.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, commercial insurance, and Virginia state regulations for clinical documentation.
• Stay actively involved with APTA and VPTA, providing regulatory updates and professional guidance to the team.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of clinical documentation and treatment plans.
Professional Development & Mentorship
• Mentor PTs, PTAs, and new hires, ensuring clinical excellence and professional growth.
• Act as a Clinical Instructor for PT students, building relationships with universities.
• Support PTs in obtaining advanced certifications and continuing education.
Growth & Expansion
• Assist in the development of PT services in new locations, ensuring high standards from launch.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify new markets and expansion opportunities.
• Play a role in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new PTs and PTAs.
Marketing & Community Engagement
• Develop relationships with physicians, referral sources, and community partners to grow the practice.
• Assist in marketing efforts, community outreach, and business development for all therapy services.
• Represent the clinic at open houses, wellness events, and networking opportunities.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary & Incentive Program
• $51-$58/hour (equivalent to $106,080 - $120,640/year based on a 40-hour workweek)
• Profit-sharing bonuses based on clinic growth and performance metrics
PTO & Continuing Education
• 4 weeks (20 days) of PTO annually and 6 federal Holidays
• $1,500 Continuing Education Stipend per year for courses, certifications, or conferences
Medical Benefits

Qualifications
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Virginia or eligible for licensure
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, with leadership or management experience preferred
• Experience in outpatient, home health, or community-based PT settings is a plus
• Strong knowledge of compliance, documentation standards, and insurance regulations
• Active involvement in APTA/VPTA or other professional organizations preferred
• Ability to mentor, coach, and lead a team of PTs and PTAs across multiple locations
