Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair, specifically with diesel engines. The Diesel Technician will work closely with other mechanics and service technicians to diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines and related systems to identify issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to troubleshoot and diagnose vehicle problems.
- Repair or replace defective parts using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Solder electrical connections as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests.
- Stay updated on the latest diesel technology and repair techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role in automotive repair.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, including Caterpillar engines.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks effectively.
- Experience with soldering and suspending components as required for repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications or training in diesel mechanics is preferred but not mandatory.
