What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Specialist - Swing Shift position at Full Sail Brewing Company?
Full Sail Brewing Company is looking to hire Packaging Specialists to join our swing shift crew. The ideal candidates will have prior operator experience in a manufacturing setting and/or have the ability to quickly train and grow into an operator role.
As a Packaging Specialist you will learn to operate a variety of bottling, canning and kegging machines in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. You will also learn and support the team in maintaining Safety and Quality standards.
Essential Functions
- Work as part of a team and complete tasks as assigned on the production floor.
- Operate machinery and equipment Loading and unloads items from machines and conveyors
- Monitor and inspect products for quality and safety standards
- Transfer finished products or raw materials between storage and work areas by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks
- Communicate with supervisors and leads concerning safety, quality, and processing issues
- Remove products, machine attachments, or waste material from machines as directed
- Provide cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas
- Responsible for the health and safety of self and co-workers
Available Shifts
Swing Shift: Mon- Thur 4:00 pm to 2:30 am
Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in a manufacturing environment and operating machinery.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be flexible in scheduling and willing to work overtime and holidays as needed
- Ability to work successfully with a team
- Ability to understand and communicate instructions in English
- This is an active, fast paced, job requiring working on your feet most of the shift with occasional to frequent lifting of 20 to 35 pounds
- Must be able to stand for a long period of time, climb, reach, walk, lift, grasp, feel, bend and twist
- Must have the ability to perform repetitive tasks quickly and accurately.

Pay:
- Starts at $17.00 per hour
- Wage increases at 3, 6, 12, and 18 months.
Premium Pay:
Hours worked during the following windows will receive premium pay as follows:
- 5:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.: Earn an additional 10% per hour.
- 1:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.: Earn an additional 15% per hour.
- All hours on Saturday and Sunday: Earn an additional 15% per hour.
