As we continue to expand our reach, including future plans in the North Dallas region, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of Full Smile Management. This position offers the flexibility of remote work with periodic travel to West Texas. As part of our leadership team, you will have the opportunity to influence company strategy, grow within the department, and contribute to the organization’s ongoing success, including potential involvement in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and quality of earnings (Q of E) analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to provide actionable insights for management.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger processes.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop long-term financial strategies and support company growth initiatives.
- Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations for potential M&A opportunities, including conducting quality of earnings (Q of E) analyses and integration planning.
- Lead and coordinate audits to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Mentor and develop finance team members to support departmental growth and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong background in managerial roles.
- Expertise in accrual accounting systems; experience with cash-based systems alone will not be sufficient for this role.
- Experience conducting quality of earnings (Q of E) analyses and audits.
- Familiarity with M&A processes, including financial due diligence and integration, is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to West Texas for on-site meetings and audits.
