Georgia Piedmont Technical College is currently seeking an experienced Health Information Management Technology Instructor. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the field, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and have a commitment to preparing students for successful careers in Health Information Management Technology. Under general supervision of the Dean of Allied Health, the full-time instructor will provide instruction to students in Health Information Management Technology courses, to include:
Minimum qualifications include Bachelor degree in Health Information Management or related field and a minimum of three years employment experience within the past seven years. Must be certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), and Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) (or equivalent). Faculty will be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the courses assigned. Master’s degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university with course work in field instruction with a minimum of 18 graduate hours is preferred.
