POSITION SUMMARY:
This full-time (35 hours per week) paid internship opportunity is within our Global Sourcing team. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers an exceptional chance to gain practical experience in the fashion retail industry, with a focus on sourcing and supply chain management within a catalog and E-commerce business. Over the course of the 10-week program, interns will have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in our business environment through engaging hands-on experiences, executive meetings, enlightening panel discussions, and various other enriching activities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the Sourcing department on day-to-day operations, gaining invaluable insight into the inner workings of our sourcing strategies.
- Provide essential support to the Sourcing team to ensure the seamless arrival of products, focusing on both timeliness and accuracy.
- Familiarize yourself with the intricacies of sourcing and product development strategies, including understanding the production process, cost/pricing targets, fit process, and raw materials.
- Cultivate meaningful relationships with our vendors, aligning their efforts with our business goals and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Contribute to meeting milestone requirements outlined in the brand’s developmental calendar, gaining firsthand experience in project management.
- Gain proficiency in addressing and resolving issues that may arise throughout the product development process, including those related to development, costing, and delivery.
- Be flexible to pivot per needs at any given time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, with an expected graduation date between May 2025 and May 2026, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated passion for the fashion industry and a keen interest in plus-size fashion and retail.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
