Merchant - Women's Tops

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to a VP/DMM or Senior Merchant, this position will manage women’s tops for Eloquii. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. The Merchant partners with the Inventory Planning team to support fulfillment, Creative Services to support catalog/web creative, Sourcing, Design and Technical Design to aid in achieving set price goals & fit quality standards, Marketing to analyze and respond to customers' needs and promote products according to branding, and E-Commerce to drive online KPIs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead product assortment and design strategy, ensuring delivery of a compelling assortment that will meet or exceed our financial goals
• Manage budgets to drive profitable growth and ensure an exceptional customer experience across all channels.
• Leverage your influencing and leadership skills to build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee decisions related to all aspects of your products, including replenishment, supply chain, manufacturers, operations, planning, assortment, layouts, budgets, and pricing.
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as Design, Technical Design, Product Development, and Production, to create and launch new styles within the assortment.
• Ensure product readiness by managing the execution of onsite content, including PDP copy and digital assets, in alignment with category and overall product strategies. Partner with cross-functional teams to implement website updates.
• Strong understanding of the brand customer and aesthetic
• Develop short- and long-term strategies which help grow the current business

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS in related field and/or equivalent work experience
• 5 years of experience in retail merchandising
• Exceptional decision-making skills, including ability to think on your feet, make business decisions and pivot quickly
• Excellent organizational skills
• Must have an eye for fashion, and business, to ensure the vision fits the finances of the company
• Entrepreneurial drive
• Ability to partner with team members across different internal functions
• Effectively communicate with leadership across the organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel; Demandware and PLM experience is a plus.
