Job Description:
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating various machines, including the CNC Machine, Edgebanding Machine, and Dowel Machine, to produce high-quality architectural wood products. You will also assist in setting up, calibrating, and maintaining equipment, ensuring that the production process runs efficiently and safely. Your role will directly impact the quality of our products and the timely delivery of customer orders.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the CNC Machine, Edgebanding Machine, and Dowel Machine to process wood products.
- Use a vacuum lift to handle materials.
- Operate a forklift to move and organize materials.
- Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and materials.
- Set tolerance levels and cutting speeds for optimal performance and accuracy.
- Inspect parts for quality control and ensure they meet specifications.
- Develop a work plan to efficiently complete daily machining tasks.
- Work as part of a team to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Assemble cabinets and cabinet parts as needed.
- Load and unload materials for production, including materials and finished goods.
- Load and unloadtrucks for incoming and outgoing shipments when required.
- Perform general maintenance on all machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with inventory control to maintain accurate stock levels.
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating a CNC Machine, Edgebanding Machine, Dowel Machine, vacuum lift, and forklift (preferred).
- Ability to perform proper set-up, calibration, and maintenance procedures on CNC Machines and other woodworking equipment.
- Strong knowledge of cutting speeds, tolerance levels, and quality control standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and machine manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect products for quality.
- Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience with inventory control and general machine maintenance is a plus.
