What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician position at Fuller's Milker Center LLC?
FULL-TIME ELECTRICAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN
The Electrical Service Technician will travel to customer locations and install and
service parts and equipment for dairy customers. Often performs several tasks within a
single call and handles all aspects of the installation process as well as troubleshooting
and repairing malfunctioning dairy equipment to the satisfaction of the customer and
requiring a minimum of callbacks. Reporting to the Field Service Manager, you will utilize your core skills in mechanical knowledge and electrical experience to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Comply with Company processes and procedures
- Comply with inventory control measures such as checking
parts out to a job AND checking the unused parts back
into our system when done
- Troubleshoot and repair broken and/or malfunctioning
dairy equipment on-farm
- Recommend repair parts and equipment to the customer
- Install new and used equipment/parts by following
established processes and procedures
- Review parts and equipment customer is using and
refer to Sales people for updating and replacing said
equipment
- Ensure each installation is consistently excellent and
meets Fuller’s standard and that of the customer
- Complete and submit all required paperwork daily for
billable hours
- Included in emergency (on-call) service on a rotational
schedule with other technicians
- Able to engage in continuing education as needed
- Maintain a clean and well-kept work truck provided by the
Company
- Maintain an accurate inventory of tools and parts on the
Company-provided work truck
- Use testing equipment to identify electrical problems and
repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
- Follow state and local building regulations based on the
National Electrical Code.
- Other requirements may include: A thorough
understanding of dairy milking equipment operation,
installation and repair is required. Must know how to
operate a forklift, lift heavy equipment and ability to weld
is a plus.
