REPORTS TO : Director of Auxiliary Services
LOCATION : On-Campus, Pasadena, CA

Brief Description:

This is routine manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of buildings and facilities. Employees perform various duties requiring moderate physical strength. Typical routine duties include daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly responsibilities.

Essential Functions:

Job assignments vary according to job area but the following describes the responsibilities of this position:

• Empty waste receptacles and replace liners
• Scrub and clean restroom fixtures
• Vacuum carpeted areas
• Dust mop, wet mop floors
• Dust and clean walls, doors, windows, woodwork and other above the floor surfaces
• Dust and clean furniture
• Clean elevators and stairwells
• Remove cobwebs
• Notify supervisor of equipment and facilities needing repair or replacement
• Perform related work as required and instructed: Stripping and refinishing floors; scrubbing floors with machines; window washing; wall washing, vacuuming; wall, washing vent and radiator ; cleaning of light fixtures; washing waste receptacle; moving furniture
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
• 1 year experience in cleaning preferred
• Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength
• Ability to transport/move up to 30 pounds
• Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment
• Ability to follow simple oral & written instructions in conduct of the job
• Ability to establish and maintain working relation with supervisor, fellow workers, students, and staff
• Ability to work and communicate in multicultural settings.
Ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time

Additional Remarks:

• The custodian is required to undergo a week of supervised training to insure that the responsibilities are understood and carried out
• Must be willing to abide by Fuller Community Standards
• This is an in-person position on the Pasadena, CA campus.

Pay Scale

• The hourly rate the seminary expects to pay: $17.50 per hour USD
