Position Summary
The Registration & Data Strategy Specialist provides strategic leadership in delivering a digitally integrated, student-centered approach to registration and enrollment management. This role ensures that registration processes are efficient, data-informed, and accessible, supporting Fuller’s commitment to innovative, technology-driven education. By leveraging automation, analytics, and student information systems, the Registration & Data Strategy Specialist enhances the overall student experience, ensuring seamless enrollment and minimizing administrative barriers.
Working collaboratively with the Registrar, Associate Registrar, and Assistant Registrars, this role plays a key part in optimizing student records, enrollment workflows, and academic scheduling. As Fuller continues its digital transformation, the Registration & Data Strategy Specialist will contribute to process improvements, system upgrades, and data-informed decision-making to support student success.
This is a highly visible leadership position requiring engagement with faculty, staff, students, and cross-functional teams. The individual must demonstrate strong communication skills, a solutions-oriented mindset, and expertise in digital tools and enrollment technologies. Attendance and active participation in institutional strategy meetings, technology implementations, and student success initiatives are expected.
Key Responsibilities
Digital-Forward Registration & Enrollment Management
Oversee and optimize student registration processes using digital tools and automation to enhance efficiency and accessibility.
Ensure seamless integration of registration systems with student records, academic planning, and advising platforms.
Collaborate with IT to research and deploy registration-related Banner SIS upgrades, leveraging new technologies to improve the student experience.
Manage online registration set up and functionality, troubleshooting issues and ensuring real-time accuracy of class availability, prerequisites, and enrollment caps.
Work closely with Teaching & Learning and Academic Advising to align registration processes with digital course delivery and student support strategies.
Partner with Academic Planners to analyze faculty loads, course schedules, enrollment trends, and registration patterns, ensuring optimal course offerings.
Work closely with faculty and academic leadership to streamline course scheduling, directed readings, and contract course sections.
Student-Centered Academic Records & Data Management
Maintain data integrity in student records, ensuring compliance with institutional policies, accreditation requirements, and FERPA regulations.
Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to track registration trends, identify enrollment bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements.
Process student loan deferment and enrollment verification requests as needed, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Manage registration waitlists, cancellations, and cohort-based enrollment processes, proactively addressing student needs.
Regularly audit student and faculty address information, working with IT to streamline updates and reduce data inconsistencies.
Assist with Commencement-related projects, as needed.
Process Innovation & Digital Solutions
Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce manual administrative burdens, and improve the student experience.
Work with IT to develop and maintain digital reporting tools that support real-time decision-making for enrollment management.
Lead efforts to modernize registration communication, leveraging automation, chatbots, and self-service tools to provide students with 24/7 access to support.
Regularly review and refine academic policies, ensuring they align with Fuller’s digital-forward approach to student services and academic planning.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in student records, enrollment management, or related higher education fields.
Experience working with digital student information systems (e.g., Banner SIS) and data analytics tools.
Knowledge of FERPA and best practices in higher education enrollment and records management.
Technical & Digital Skills:
Functional fluency with Banner Student Information System (required)
Familiarity with SQL and the ability to both create new reports or modify existing SQL based processes. (required)
Basic familiarity with HTML and with the ability to modify basic web pages and web interfaces either through code or through product specific graphical interfaces. (preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Office/Google Suite tools (Excel/Sheets, Docs, Email, Drive) and CRM platforms.
Familiarity with AI-driven student support tools, data visualization software, and automation solutions.
Bilingual Korean and/or Spanish preferred.

Pay Scale:
Salary range the seminary expects to pay: $68,640 - $74,000 annually USD
