Under general supervision, the Food Service Assistant / Transporter organizes, handles and transports goods and materials, including the pick up and delivery of food, supplies, materials, records and equipment from vendors, warehouses, schools and other District sites, assists in requisition processing and filling, food storing and retrieval.

POSITION DETAILS
The Fullerton School District is hiring a substitute Food Service Transporter to primarily drive a delivery truck in picking up and delivering supplies, records, and equipment between vendors, warehouses, schools, and other District sites, as well as processing requisitions, storing food, and loading / unloading trucks.
This substitute position will serve to assist the delivery operations of the Nutrition Services Department from the Central Kitchen to School Sites while permanent delivery drivers are on leave and to provide additional delivery support as needed. This opportunity offers up to 8 hours / day with anticipated work hours are Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2 : 30 pm.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education : High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience : Minimum one year of experience in institutional warehousing and delivery. Experience in food service warehousing is preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must submit a recent (dated less than one month from the recruitment closing date) DMV driving record, including all reportable driving information such as convictions, departmental actions, and accidents. This document can be obtained online or in person from the DMV.
