What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Representative position at Fullerton Grounds Maintenance?
SALES REPRESENTATIVE:
POSITION OVERVIEW: Assist the Director of Business Development (DBD) in a variety of sales and networking functions to promote FGM and support its continued growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES would include, but are not limited to:
Client Communications/Services:
· Contact existing, previous and prospective clients to gauge opportunities for new business or ancillary sales
· Perform “cold calls” by phone, email, social media and, when the opportunity presents, in-person
· Respond to client emails, texts and phone calls within 24 hours (timeframe exceptions include vacation, in which case DBD or department admin will serve as point of contact)
· Attend bid walkthroughs and meetings
· Schedule meetings as needed to follow-through on prospective site leads, address client concerns etc.
· Entertain current and prospective clients (i.e. lunch)
· Serve as liaison between client and FGM management team, as necessary
· Work with FGM team members to address client concerns, as necessary
· Conduct site evaluations to ensure company standards and client satisfaction requirements are being met
Marketing:
· Attendance at a variety of networking functions including, but not limited to, organization meetings, award dinners, golf outings, and “Happy Hours”
· Organize and attend industry trade shows, some of which will require travel and overnight stays
· Collaborate with FGM’s in-house marketing team to promote the company via website, social media, newsletters etc.
Sales/Administrative Functions:
· Assist with measuring potential new or existing sites and the execution of the resulting bids/contractual work
· Support DBD in tracking contract renewals and in the generation of updated agreements
· Aid DBD with site evaluations for all new maintenance properties
· Provide DBD with weekly updates, especially during bidding season. Goals will be outlined and tracked via spreadsheet.
· Become proficient with FGM’s industry specific software for bidding properties and tracking sales
Winter Season:
· During the winter season, maintain a portfolio of sites for which you will be responsible for completing snow removal operations
The successful candidate would have the following
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· 5 years of sales experience preferrable
· People-oriented
· Exceptional communication skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and Google applications
· Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
· A willingness and ability to attend events “after hours”
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
