ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Applies job specific technical / engineering expertise in project management and product development. Requires demonstrated ability to influence task groups to achieve industry desired outcomes
• Perform product development / project engineering tasks for working groups, and / or user forums as assigned, including :
• Develop proposals for statement of work for new and revised best practices, standards, & technical reports
• Define plans to accomplish goals and facilitate the integration of technical activities
• Develop industry guidance, standards, and technical reports by resolving and coordinating responses to industry comments and coordinating with related industry groups and representing the subcommittees and working groups in meetings and forums
• Perform technical report generation / assessment as directed with strict confidentiality and compliance with procedural and regulatory requirements; conduct technical oversight as required; review / update reports; follow up and resolve concerns; ensure effective closure of tasks for timely publication of technical outputs; provide technical summary reports
• Manage assigned subcommittees and working groups, including technical planning, meeting logistics, facilitation, and meeting report preparation. Function as the focal point for committee activities by writing and issuing agendas and minutes, resolving problems, communicating information, answering inquiries, etc.
• Plans and conducts technical meetings, prepares materials, and facilitates technical sessions. Prepares technical meeting reports and presentation of results for industry coordination.
• Supports the planning of, and contributes to the technical sessions at Industry Conferences & Technical Meetings. Support the program marketing plan. Provide input to the plan and support workshops, appearances and exhibits, as assigned. Also support and help to coordinate the development of marketing materials, as applicable.
• Execute tasks to support leadership committees as assigned and required.
• Provide limited support of new initiatives, as assigned. Recommend process improvements for assigned programs. Identify gaps / problems and report to appropriate management. Participates in user-experience research to identify obstacles, improve ease-of-use, customer satisfaction and inform future product and service development, as applicable.
• Support the program strategic plan through alignment with deadlines, goals, and milestones.
